Thelma Podcast is our home for sharing stories, memories, and voices from the past and present. Launched in March 2019, it began as a blend of archive recordings and music from our extensive collection of donated 78s and vinyl records. Over time, it has evolved into a platform for reminiscence stories drawn from our community projects, capturing personal experiences and social history.
Our podcast series explore a wide range of themes. From first-hand accounts of Edinburgh’s industrial and commercial past, personal shopping and retail experiences in Scotland, to Queer Edinburgh, which uncovers the people and places that have shaped the city’s LGBTQ+ community and their identities.
Other series include Sikh Stories Podcast, which delves into life within both Sikh and Scottish cultures, exploring identity, belonging, and the meaning of community across generations.
Each series is a window into Scotland’s rich and varied history, told through the voices of those who lived it. Tune in to discover the memories that connect us all.
